 Wheels of Compassion - The Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church is offering FREE transportation for the residents of the Jonestown area that are 18 years of age and older for the following needs: Church - Medical Appointments - Groceries - Job Interviews - Social Visits. Please call the church office at 717-865-9900 Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM to schedule your appointment. As this is a free and volunteer service - there may be instances where requests may need to be declined due to non-availability of drivers. Please allow no less than a 48-hour notice prior to your appointment.

The Jonestown Borough 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to All the Vounteers of JOY Pantry at the March 4th Borough Council Meeting. Presenting the Award is Mayor Tyler Longenecker and accepting it on behalf of ALL the volunteers at JOY Pantry is Linda Wood.


Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday April 19th at 1 PM in Jonestown Park This one is for the kids (Jonestown area only please)

Earl David Reed - Saturday April 26th at Jonestown American Legion Doors open at 6 PM for Earl David Reed at the American Legion - and the show begins at 7 PM. Cost is $15 per person and includes light snacks. A cash bar will be available. No One under the age of 18 will be permitted - no exceptions. For tickets call 717-926-7440 or 717-865-4694.

Pitch, Hit & Run Competition - Sunday April 27th at Jonestown Park Jonestown will host a Local Level of the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competion beginning at 1 PM on Sunday April 27th. There will be four different age groups - 7&8, 9&10, 11&12, 13&14 year olds with boys and girls competing separately (age is determined as of July 17, 2014). Winners will compete at the Sectional Level sometime in mid may to early June - those winners advance to Team Championships hosted at Major League Ballparks during the month of June and the National Finals are held during the 2014 MLB All-Star Week July 14-16. Birth certificates are necessary to verify age - entry forms are available at the PHR Homepage   AND at the registration table the day of the event.  Participants are encouraged to visit the PHR Homepage and print the registration form, complete it and have it signed by a parent/guardian and bring it along the day of the event-this will help speed up the registration process. Community Yard Sales - Saturday May 10th from 7:00 AM to ???? Jonestown Borough's Annual Community Yard Sales Day - Sell your items - Shop at your neighbors for new items.

Spring Concert - Sunday May 18th at 7:00 PM The Jonestown Male Chorus will have a Spring Concert to be held at Zion's Lutheran Church - 103 E. Market Street. There is no charge for this concert and all are welcome to attend.

Jonestown's 4th Annual Block Party - Saturday May 24th from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM Featured Entertainment is Hit List.
